I wondered around alone in the night
Hoping one day that dark would turn to light
A hole in my heart that was unable to mend
Who knew all I needed was a heavenly friend?
One day scared and lonely I fell to my knees
I cried out for God to help if he pleased.
Though I could not see it I felt his strong hand,
He said do not cry things are going as planned.
Riches and exceptance may make you happy here
But the day of my coming is drawning more near.
My promise dear child is your sadness will end
As long as you lean on your heavenly friend.
