Bible Answer Man stumped by belly button question

COSTA MESA - The Bible Answer Man, host of a radio show where thorny Bible questions are answered, drew a blank last Thursday when a 7-year-old boy asked him the classic "did Adam have a belly button" question.
"There's an answer, son, I just can't think of it right now," the Answer Man said. "I guess I'd say no - no belly button."
Later in the show, the Answer Man changed his mind.
"God is no respecter of persons, so Adam must have been just like us," he said. "So yes, young man. He had a belly button, just like you and me."
The youngster called back and asked why Adam would have had a belly button if he hadn't had an umbilical cord. The Answer Man said God probably gave him a "functionally useless" belly button so he wouldn't be an oddity.
The boy then asked if Adam's belly button was most likely "an innie or an outie." The Answer Man promptly moved on to another call. •

Belly Button for Adam by Brian on 05/24/2008, 06:19 AM The belly button is the mark of being a descendant of Adam. I don't see why Adam would have one...it wouldn't appear odd at all if you saw it. |

There is hope by Jeff on 05/28/2008, 06:46 AM There is hope for this young boy. At the age of 7 he already sees the illogic of the bible. It looks like he made it through the brain-washing phase and has great hope for the future free from the cult of the Jesus god. |
